The Sorriest Excuse for a Toothfairy ... EVER!

Bryant lost another tooth today. Being a part of this generation that always uses debit cards, Cal & I scrambled around looking for a couple of bucks to give to our little toothless boy. We didn't succeed. So I heard Caleb going through his coin cup to see if he could find some quarters and round up a decent reward for our son's pearly white ...nothing.

Finally I hear Cal coming out of Bry's room saying, "This was the lamest tooth fairy night ever!" He took money out of Bry's wallet to put under his own pillow. Now, if you know Caleb, you know he's good for it and he'll replace the singles before Bry even notices they're missing. Thankfully, Bry isn't really very good at money management yet and probably doesn't even know what is in his wallet. Nevertheless, as a parent/toothfairy, borrowing from your 8 year old doesn't feel quite right.

Caleb shook his head as he turned in for the night saying, "This is an all-time low for me." I cracked up! This definitely wasn't in the parenting manual! Who knew we were supposed to keep money around in case one of our kids decides to loose a tooth? Poor first child!

Ha ha ha... I'm laughing so hard right now. YOu guys are way too funny. That's low Caleb, really low. What will Bryant think of his father if he ever finds out? You better get your buns to the Circle K and get some cash first thing tomorrow buddy!

Don't sweat it, atleast you remembered. Poor Noelle had to wonder what she did that the toothfairy didn't even come not once but twice. We are not so great at playing the part of the toothfairy.

What a loser! You're right Theresa, at least I remembered. That is about the only redeeming value to this deal. I think I will replace it with an extra dollar, just to silently thank the boy.

Caleb, I think repayment with 100% intrest is only fair.

That is so funny. I take money out of Hannah's piggy bank all the time to pay for parking and stuff.

That's one of the reasons we started with the Sacajewa gold dollars. I have a stash of them just waiting. Our biggest problem is Kaitlyn remembering to put it under her pillow. I have wanted to leave money and just take the tooth so that I wouldn't forget when she remembers. Ted thinks she would wonder what is up.

Oh my gosh, I am cracking UP! Our tooth fairy just reaches in her "fairy bag" and leaves a random handfull of coins for every girl and boy. We stole the idea, but you should see us scrambling around looking for enough coins when Katie's teeth fall out. Thankfully, she usually asks me to yank them, so I have time to get some coins if we don't have enough. Oh, my. I'm still giggling....

BTW - I thought I might mention that our toothfairy is cheap, I mean frugal. She only gives $.50 when she remembers. LOL! :-P

Thanks to everyone -especially Theresa who made us feel MUCH better;) -for your encouragement. Now we don't feel like such "looser parents". Pretty funny stuff this parenthood business is!
